Stonehenge

After the success of the art class at the end of last term ( my blog April 10) we are doing another project as a class. I love this so I can do some research and really plan, the outcome may or may not show the "advantage" of the planning but it is fun so first the photos.

Then some collages from Picassa

This loosened me, I guess, and it was time to play and try some ideas so I looked at Ben Nicholson who is a present favourite

And then de Stael

They only deserve to be little paintings but after the auction tomorrow I want to experiment with doing some monoprints.

I am loving doing all these little studies....I could very easily be a "sit down" painter.

I wonder if some day I will know who I want to be when I grow up....de Stael, Feininger, , Matisse,.................................?

I have sat and painted Stonhenge many times. It is a truly mystical site. We were lucky enough to walk amongst the stones. These ideas are progressing well.

I hope all went well with the auction Janette. I love the Stonehenge subject, I rather thought there might have been a colourful one in there.
