Fitzroy again

Went to the Rosalie Gascoign exhibition yeaterday and while some of the work is truly exciting there was a lot of repetition. I guess if you are a selling artist there is a temptation to repeat what "sells". I did love this curtain.

And this is a section from one of the iconic pieces.

After the exhibition we drove around Fitzroy looking at probable new places and I saw this on the side of the road.

How great is this?

What great colours and shapes. We are doing "erosion" in the day photos with Jo hence my excitement.

BUT THE BIG EXCITEMENT IS..............

My nephew and his wife found it in an Antique shop in Williamstown yesterday the slight downside is that it weighs over 100 kgs., fortunately my nephew is a very big, strong chap.

I am so excited but I have to finish a quilt I am making for a person grieving from our bushfires....that will be in the next posting.

Glad you found your press at last. I have one and leave it on a rug on the floor, that way I can drag it around when I need to move it.

Thankyou all my friends, will finish the quilt by tomorrow I hope as my art class is on Thursday and it is for one of the girls in the class.
Ro that is a great idea about the rug but I fear it is on the sewing table until I move. I work on the assunption that they have to move a grand piano so a book press.......?!*!
