First Day

This was a super exercise done in a Sandra Meecham class.
The photo is a room in my girlfriends house and the rest you can see...but there are great posibilities for using this trick
This next photo is a total non-sequeteur, but my Great nephew had his first day at school yesterday, and as I have no children of my own, it was pretty special to have him pop in on the way home.
End of "brag".
I so love Leslie Avon Miller's collages.....so I thought....
it presently looks like a notice board
I content myself with thinking this is only the beginning!
My main way of working seems to be to work relatively rapidly on the work then spend absolutely years correcting mistakes.
How about this lovely brooch my friend Carolyn (from The Very Stuff group) gave me today, it comes from the OXFAM shop and is made in Mombassa by Bombulu.
Isn't it delicious!

Janette,
Just look at that handsome little fellow, he is a gorgeous preppy.
Like looking at all your painted bits. Looks like an interesting beginning.

More great stuff, love the collage, can't wait to see the continuation of the process.
My little grandson started school yesterday too. He loved it, came home with home work already.

Janette I love where this collage is going.... I have been visiting Leslie's blog recently too and her collages are wonderful.

How cute is your Great Nephew and how special that he popped in to say hi!

Hi Janette: Collage is a real sorting process isn't it? I find it satisfying once it comes together. And thank you for the lovely comment about my work. Very kind of you. I love that yummy little figure, with the touches of red.
